Honestly, I'm not really a fan of these Mad Men-type post-WW2 American period pieces. There isn't anything particularly interesting about that time: everyone was bourgeois and bigoted. Whatever.
The movie itself was alright. Leo and Kate put up a good show but the movie relied too much on its period-piece-ness for success. The plot itself was banal: suburban couple wants to break free of its unhappy middle-class existence but is too scared.
